La Junta KOA Journey General Information

Washers and dryers are available 24/7 in our Laundry Room. Machines require quarters as payment (available in our Office).

FOLLOWING ARE OUR POLICIES FOR DAILY STAY CANCELATIONS AND EARLY CHECK-OUTS:

CANCELATIONS

• Your campsite or lodging reservation is guaranteed through the payment of a deposit equal to at least your first night's stay charged to your credit/debit card when your reservation is made.
  
• Campsites/lodging are not reserved without a deposit.
  
• Cancelations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of all deposits.
  
• If you need to cancel any of your reservations, you must call us or come in before the following deadlines to receive a deposit refund, less a cancelation fee; text/email notification is not accepted.
  
• Not calling or coming in to cancel/no-show will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.
  
• There is no cancelation fee for a reservation canceled the same day it is made for reservations made at least seven days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
  
• Reservations made after deadlines require non-refundable deposits.
  

Regular RV Sites & all Tent Sites: 48 hour cancelation notice is required. The reservation deposit will be refunded, less a $10.00 cancelation fee, if the reservation is canceled at least 48 hours prior to 2:00 pm MST on the reservation arrival date; there will be no refund issued if the reservation is canceled with less notice. 

Deluxe RV Sites & Lodging: Seven (7) days cancelation notice required prior to scheduled arrival date; 28 days cancelation notice required for Memorial, Independence & Labor Day Holidays (holidays start on the Friday before the legal holiday date and end on the day after).  Cancelation fee by seven (7) day deadline is $25.00.

VIP KOA Rewards holders:  We will waive your $10.00 reservation cancelation fee if you call to cancel your regular RV or tent site by 2:00 pm two days before your scheduled arrival.  There are no cancelation fee waivers for deluxe RV sites, premium tent sites or lodging.

EARLY CHECK-OUTS

• If you need to cancel any of your reservations after check-in, you must call us or come in before the following deadlines to receive a deposit refund, less an early check-out fee; text/email notification is not accepted.

Regular RV & all Tent Sites: 24-hour notice of an early check-out is required. Notify us by 2:00 pm MST one day before your early departure.  Early check-out fee is $10.00 per day reserved.

Deluxe RV Sites & Lodging: 48-hour notice of an early check-out is required (3 days notice of an early check-out required for Memorial, Independence & Labor Day Holidays).  Notify us by 2:00 pm MST 48 hours before your early departure.  Early check-out fee is $25.00 per day reserved.

Regular RV Sites: 7-day cancelation notice is required. Notify us by 2:00 pm MST seven (7) days before your scheduled arrival.  Cancelation fee by 7-day deadline is $150.00.  No refunds 

EARLY CHECK-OUTS:  There are no refunds or pro-rations for early check-outs.  We advise considering changing your registration to a daily stay if you will not be staying a full month.

Please do not park on, place a carpet or rug on, or do anything to injure the grass.  Please do not climb on, cut or remove branches and/or trees, or do anything to injure the trees.

Our office & store hours are as follows:
Summer:  May - September:  Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Monday thru Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Friday & Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Spring & Fall:  March - April & October:  Sunday 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Monday thru Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Friday & Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Winter (November - February):  Sunday 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Monday thru Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Friday & Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Office & Store is closed on Thanksgiving Day (November 22), Christmas Day (December 25) & New Year's Day (January 1st).

Walk-in cabin rentals will be taken until 9:00 p.m. year-round.

To encourage positive treatment of our lodging, a $100 refundable cash/credit cleaning/damage deposit is required at check-in.  Damages, if the lodging smells of smoke, if excessive cleaning required, and/or missing items will be held from the deposit; the balance, if any, will be refunded after the lodging condition is checked by our Housekeeping staff after check-out, between 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.  If paid by credit, any refund normally will take three business days to show up in your account.  

We would much rather have our lodging kept in great condition and gladly refund your deposit in full rather than the alternative.  Thank you!

All guests, customers of and visitors to La Junta Colorado Cabins and KOA and Country Car Rentals recognize, understand, accept and authorize any pictures or videos containing their images or those of minors with them, taken by or for La Junta KOA or Country Car Rentals, to be the sole property of La Junta KOA and Country Car Rentals, and may be used for lawful promotional purposes.  Images may be edited, changed and/or copied, and may be used for, but not limited to, publication on the internet, magazines, journals, books, articles, etc., provided that it is done for lawful purposes.  Guests, customers and visitors will not be entitled to and waive any right to payment, royalty, or any sort of charge or compensation with regard to the usage of their images, and release all rights to any, but not limited to, claims, rights, demands, and/or any causes of action by them or their representatives, heirs or anyone else.

Check-in time is any time after 1:00 p.m. for RV & tent camping; 2:00 p.m. for lodging. If you need to arrive sooner, please call the campground to make sure there is an available space.  A fee may be charged for checking in before regular check-in times.
Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. If you would like to extend your stay, we will be happy to do that for you if space is available - please let the office know by 10:00 a.m.   A fee may be charged for extending your check-out time.   Guests will be charged another night's stay if their site is not vacated by 2:00 pm unless prior arrangements have been made with the campground manager.

Visitors are welcome at our KOA. They must park in the extra parking spots. They cannot park in open camp sites or block roads or other sites. Only registered guests and paid visitors are allowed to use the swimming pool, Rec Room & Mini Golf.

Campfires are allowed only in the sites with a fire ring (all lodging, tent sites & South Park campsites) and the community fire pit. If you would like to have a campfire, please ask for a fire ring site. Firewood is for sale at our store.

For the relaxation and enjoyment of our guests, quiet hours are from 9:00 p.m. until 7:30 a.m.

We love friendly pets at our KOA and have provided a Kamp K9 dog park for your pets' enjoyment!  Our back-in Deluxe Patio Site #57 includes a Paw Pen for your dogs.  For the best barefoot experience, pet poop must be picked up as soon as it hits the ground. Clean up bags are provided at Kamp K9, the south & west ends of the park, and at our tent sites for your convenience. Please do not allow your pet to "go" on the grassy sites in the campground. For the safety of our customers and pets, when walking your pet or when outside your RV, please have your pet on a leash no longer than 10 feet. Pets are allowed in all of our lodging (except the Fleetwood Park Model) for a fee, maximum of three pets.  Pets may not be left alone tied outside RV's, tent sites, and inside or outside of lodging.

Our solar-heated swimming pool is open daily from 10:00 am - dusk, from early May to late September.  With a signed waiver (available at our office), registered guests are welcome to SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK!  We do not provide a lifeguard.  There is a daily fee for visitors.  No diving, running, shoving, animals, food, drink (other than water), smoking or vaping is allowed in the fenced pool enclosure.  Only one child at a time may be on the waterslide.  We ask that swimmers shower off before entering the pool; a shower is provided inside the pool enclosure.  Infants must wear swim diapers..

The speed limit in the camground is 3.5 miles per hour - VERY SLOW!  Please drive safely - your kids & grandkids are on vacation!

Tent sites may be rented for a maximum of seven consecutive days.  Electricity from the tent sites may not be used to power air conditioners or connected to vehicles.  Water is provided to tent sites on a seasonal basis, from May - September.  Each tent site is allowed one parking space.  Tents are only allowed on tent platforms (16' x 16').

Please run the water faucet to clear it prior to connecting to your RV.  We are on good city water, but if your site has not been used for a while, the initial water may be stale.  Use a sewer connector or gasket to connect to the sewer inlet nearest the back of your RV.  Please do not put diapers, towels or any other items in the sewer line that might block it.  Please run plenty of water down your toilet when flushing - it really helps keep things flowing!

Please place your trash in the dumpsters on the east & west sides of North Park.  Please recycle you aluminum, cardboard, glass & plastic.  Everyone likes a clean campground, right!  Please do not litter!

Do not change oil in the campground.

Parents are responsible for their children's actions and safety.  Your kids love you - please spend time with them!

Smoking & vaping are not allowed in lodging, the mini golf course, playground & pool, our bathrooms, breezeway, laundry, office/store & Rec Room.  Violators will be charged $200.00.  There are no butts about it - please pick up your cigarette butts or go barefoot!!
